| This page is dedicated to cowboy Window fitters : Welcome Windows, Tickton, East Yorkshire |
The following photos show how incompetent they are. They claimed the job was completed and demanded to be paid. The defects were pointed out to them, but they claimed there was nothing wrong with the installation and the partial collapsed ceiling was not their responsibility. A qualified surveyor registered with the Master Builders was employed to assess the work/damage done. The report states the workmanship is 'below acceptable standard' in several areas:- The partial collapse of the ceiling was a result of the removal of the original timber door frame. The installation should be weather tight and not lead to any problems with damp or weather penetration. The ground floor sill does not fit correctly. The interfaces between new and existing should all be made good to a satisfactory standard. |

| However, there is a happy ending. The work has been corrected by another firm to the owners satisfaction. The costs of rectifying the mess has been deducted off what they would have paid to Welcome Windows. I personally got involved and was instrumental in achieving this outcome. I shall be posting updated pictures when I have them |
