| Speed Cameras |
|
They have good points and bad points.
However, I think the fundamental flaw is that the 'camera' is catching the 'vehicle' and not the driver.
What ever happened to the 'innocent until PROVED guilty,' the registered owner is not always the driver.
Animosity sets in when a letter pops through the post to the registered owner.
It is common these days for many family members to drive the family car. And with fully comprehensive insurance
which covers you to drive any vehicle not belonging to you!
It is not a requirement by law for the registered owner to know or keep records of who is driving at any moment in time!
Also the general view is that these cameras are 'cash machines' for the government
and not used as 'SAFETY CAMERAS,' as we are led to believe.
I agree with the road side police radars which stop the speeding motorist there and then.
The motorist is aware immediately of the errors of their ways. The driver is then caught and not the vehicle.
In Hull there are dozens of speed camera signs but there is not one single speed camera!
We have mobile 'SPEED SAFETY' white vans. Which more often than not park illegally - urban clearways for one example.

| Food we eat |
|
All the 'crap' thats in it now - example fish fingers, where is the fish. Chicken pumped up with water.
Bacon and burgers - what ever is in them, its not meat as I know meat to be.
|
| Quality of goods |
|
Don't make em like they used to, all the cheap imports.
|
| Taxes |
|
Cost of living, every year we pay more for less. Is it really worth going out to work for the government
to take most of of your pay in taxes. And then more 'stealth' taxes on the pittance remaining.

| Local Services |
|
The local council, Why local taxes have gone up by a considerable amount and yet the council are cutting services.
My council tax went up by over 10 percent. I know the council employees only got 3.5 percent, so where is the money going?
Well I can guess, speed bumps. Hull is the speed bump capital of England
